Margaret has a general trial practice dedicated to family law, corporate, probate, criminal defense, personal injury and workers comp in Lawrenceville. She was born in Salisbury, NC and moved to Atlanta in 1959. She attended Lakeside High School, Oglethorpe University and graduated Emory University School of Law, J.D, in 1979. She is the Chief Judge, Municipal Court for the City of Sugar Hill; Associate Judge, Duluth and Berkeley Lake; recipient of numerous awards from Gwinnett County Bar Association and Council for Municipal Court Judges of Georgia; “Best of Gwinnett” for legal representation 2014-present; People to Know; Past President, GCBA, Lawrenceville Kiwanis Club and Council for Municipal Court Judges; over 75 published articles. Margaret’s 2 sons are lawyers, and her 2 daughters-in-law are also lawyers. Margaret has 3 amazing grandchildren, that are superstars, of course. She is a member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, 1818 Club, Gwinnett Leadership of Women, TPC Sugarloaf, and attends the Catholic Church of St. Monica with her fiancé’ Eric Ballinger. Her hobbies are Tennis, writing and running and she is a Dedicated Georgia Bulldawg!
